• amount is cents of the charged total; omit it to refund everything left.
• reason: requested_by_customer (default), duplicate, fraudulent, other.
• Any card surcharge is refunded in proportion, as card network rules require. The last refund takes any rounding remainder, so a fully refunded payment always returns the whole surcharge.
• You can't refund more than was charged, even with refunds in flight at the same time.

Events: refund.created, refund.failed.
